Cardinal Health PR Executive Management team consist of a group of experienced executives reporting to Senior Vice President and General Manager Carla Fernández.

 

Carla Fernández, Senior Vice President

Carla FernandezCarla Fernández, Senior Vice President & General Manager, is responsible for Cardinal Health’s sales and distribution operations for pharmaceutical products, medical-surgical products, hospital pharmacy management and logistics services in Puerto Rico & Latin America. From the beginning with Cardinal Health in 2006, Fernandez has held various leadership positions in the areas of Finance and Sales. Since joining Cardinal Health in 2006, Carla has held several leadership positions in the areas of Sales & Marketing.

Fernández began her career as a public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers. After several years she joined the private sector, where she held management positions in the finance area in Centennial Puerto Rico and Johnson & Johnson Medical Caribbean.

Fernández is a CPA and graduated from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico.



Lesbia Martínez, Vice President of Sales & Marketing – Medical Segment

Lesbia MartinezLesbia Martínez, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, leads the sales group for the Hospital and Government segments in Cardinal Health Puerto Rico. This division handles the sales of medical surgical, laboratory and pharmaceutical products and provides pharmacy management services to hospitals.

Lesbia began her career in sales at Puerto Rico Hospital Supply Inc. and Customed. After several years she joined the corporate environment where she held positions of specialist, sales and local marketing for the Caribbean at Johnson & Johnson Medical Caribbean.

Lesbia has a Bachelor's Degree in Natural Sciences with a concentration in Biology from the Interamerican University and an MBA in Management.


Michele Montalvo, Vice President of Sales & Marketing – Pharmaceutical Segment

Michele MontalvoMichele Montalvo, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, is responsible for sales teams, marketing, account management and customer service at Cardinal Health PR for Retail Pharmacies, National Accounts, Specialty and Ambulatory Care businesses for Puerto Rico and USVI. Prior to this role, she worked as the Sales Director for Retail and Specialty Businesses for Cardinal Health PR.

Montalvo has over 12 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry in Puerto Rico. She has held leadership positions in various healthcare companies. She was Director for the Hospital Business at Wyeth / Pfizer Puerto Rico, Inc., and held various sales and marketing positions at Merck, including roles as National Business Manager and Regional Marketing Manager for PR and the Caribbean markets.

Montalvo has a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences and graduated from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras.


Shirley J. Danner Rodriguez, Vice President of Operations - Quality and Regulatory Affairs

Shirley J. Danner RodriguezShirley J. Danner Rodriguez, Vice President of Operations & Quality and Regulatory Affairs, is responsible for the distribution of pharmaceutical products, medical-surgical products, quality, regulatory and compliance, supply chain, nuclear pharmacy, transportation, and operational excellence in Cardinal Health Puerto Rico for the Pharmaceutical and Medical-Surgical segments. Danner joined Cardinal Health in 2011, and in her current role she provides leadership to the following areas: Controlled Drug Substances, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affair and Nuclear Pharmacy Services (Nuclear and Precision Health Solution). Prior to the current position, she held the position of Director of Quality and Regulatory Affairs and oversaw the Nuclear Pharmacy Operations.

Danner has more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. She has held leadership positions in companies like, Serono Puerto Rico (joint agreement with Dupont Merck), Chiron Beta and IPR, among others pharmaceutical companies.

Danner earned her Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy 1985 from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in St. Louis, Missouri. She also accomplished the Authorized Nuclear Pharmacists Education Program from the Ohio State University, College of Pharmacy. Additionally, Danner earned the Nuclear Pharmacist license from the Department of Health of Puerto Rico.

Marcos Rosado, Director of Information Technology

Marcos RosadoMarcos Rosado, Director of the Department of Information Technology at Cardinal Health Puerto Rico, has over 18 years of experience in the field of technology that includes areas such as Business Intelligence, Application Development, Infrastructure and Computer Centers, Master Data, BPM , Business Rules, Project Management and Strategy Development among others.

Rosado began his professional career at Borschow Hospital & Medical Supplies as Program Group Leader, then transitioned to Infrastructure and Technical Services Manager. After the acquisition of Borschow by Cardinal Health, Rosado held the responsibilities of IT Strategy and Business Analysis Manager, and then as Director of Application Development in which he transformed his division to work using the Agile philosophy. Prior to working at Borschow, Rosado served as a Manufacturing and Test Engineer for fiber optic technology at both IBM Corporation and JDS Uniphase.

Rosado holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus (Suma Cum Laude). He is current President of the IIBA Chapter of Puerto Rico (Chapter of PR Business Analysts) and was the winner of the Cardinal Health Founder's Award in 2018.

Rafael Janer, Vice President of Finance

Rafael JanerRafael Janer, Vice President of the Finance Department at Cardinal Health Puerto Rico, USVI and Central America. He is responsible for multiple teams including accounting, financial planning, accounts payable, treasury, and security, among others. Prior to this role, he held the position of Director of Finance for Cardinal Health Puerto Rico.

Janer has over 30 years of experience, he is a CPA, and his past roles include, Auditor for KPMG, Financial Analyst and Accounting Manager for Procter & Gamble, Manager of Financial Analysis for PepsiCo Restaurants, Director of Operations for Tricon Restaurants, and Financial Director for Farmacias El Amal.

Janer has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master's degree in Finance and International Business from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor.


Jessika Osso, Human Resources Director

Jessika OssoJessika Osso, Director of Human Resources, leads the human resources department at Cardinal Health Puerto Rico. She is responsible for the strategic direction of human resources, including the areas of talent management, payroll, benefits, compensation, recruitment, legal matters, and security. Since her beginning, she has supported the LATAM organization and was the leader in Human Resources during the integration of commercial employees in Mexico, Colombia and Brazil. Prior to this role, she held the position of Human Resources Manager supporting sales, IT, Finance and Marketing.

Osso began her career in Human Resources with Procter & Gamble. After several years she joined Abarca Health where she directed the Human Capital Department.

Osso has a Bachelor's Degree in Management from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico.
